Snorting massive amounts of fake cocaine on the set of “Wolf Of Wallstreet” sent Jonah Hill to the very-real hospital.
“I had to be hospitalized,” the actor stated back in 2016 on Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons. “If you ingest that much matter into your lungs you’ll get very sick, and we were literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day.”
The stunt-blow he was firing up his nose every day? It was actually vitamin powder. But if 13 year-olds and pixie sticks have taught us anything, it’s that good things tend turn bad once you decide to rail them. And that’s basically what happened, Hill ended up developing a three-week case of bronchitis.
“I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my fucking head.”
It’s not the first – nor the last – time that Jonah Hill will portray hard-partying, drug fueled crazies. In fact, he even gave a little insight into how he prepares for such roles:
“It’s interesting pretending to be on drugs,” Hill shared. “I’ll use music. I’ll make a playlist for every scene, so I’ll try to make, like, music that [makes me feel] jittery and chaotic … and then just drink a ton of coffee and Red Bull.”
